The Harbour Commission manages and maintains over 100 deep water moorings in the lower estuary, which can be used at any state of the tide; and approximately 600 other moorings some of which dry out to a greater or lesser degree, and the majority of which are suitable for vessels of 22 feet or less.   All moorings are managed and allocated against set Mooring Allocation Guidelines.

There are moorings available on the River Teign which will be allocated from the waiting lists held.  To join either of the waiting lists you may complete and return a Waiting List invoice/application form (please phone the Harbour Office if you are unsure which waiting list to join) with your payment of £30 to The Harbour Office your details will be added to either the Deepwater or Drying Out Waiting List as appropriate and this will be kept on file until you are allocated a mooring.

If you have any other information that it would be useful for us to take account of, you may write it on the back of the invoice/application form.  For example, you may have a preference as to which part or side of the River Teign you would want to moor, or it may be essential for your mooring to be in a quieter flowing part of the river if you have young children or elderly people to get on board.

A drying out mooring is likely to be allocated within a few months but it may take several years to secure a deepwater mooring.

(Click on the following link/s for whichever Waiting List invoice is appropriate and is to be returned with your payment - Deep Water Waiting List - or - Drying Out Waiting List).

Current mooring rates are listed below together with Terms and Conditions, which details the mooring holder's obligations.  Also listed are the Mooring Allocation Guidelines.
